Lunch Mail

When Thomas started school this year I decided that I was going to pack a note in his lunch box every day. So far I have done pretty well sticking with it. The other morning I was packing his lunch and I noticed how puffy the pocket on the outside of his lunch bag was.

As soon as I felt it I knew what it was. I opened the pouch to find a ton of Lunch Notes folded up and saved.

It made me happy to know he enjoys getting them. I love him.

We do the same thing! :) Have for years and the girls put them up on their bedroom walls. It is so sweet that he keeps them.

I heard of a young woman who saved all of her father's notes from her lunch box [her mother/his wife had passed away] and she made it into a book for him when she graduated high school. I thought that was so sweet.

Aren't making lunches fun? I like that at least I know they are eating what I give them. :)

I teach at a child care center (kindergarten) We eat with the students. My students love getting notes and yes most of the students keep all their notes.I love to see their lunch pockets getting so full it just makes me smile. The best is when they are just getting the hang of reading and they read the notes to me!
