Thomas: Mom, can I have a Crabby Patty? (interpretation: Crabby Patties are really York Peppermint Patties. Unfortunately, Thomas has been watching a few episodes of Sponge Bob Square Pants much to my dismay. Because he is into that imagination stage, “things“ have started to become other “things.”)
Mom: No, you need to eat some lunch before you have your snack.
Thomas: Mumbling under his breath Well, I just need to find a new mom then.
My first thought: Ouch!My second thought: Good! I must be doing something right because I believe all kids feel this when they don't get their way, thus, I am not as big of a pushover as I think I am.

Wow, he's already started talking under his breath. I thought only teenagers did that!
My 4 yr old would NEVER say something like that...If he had a different mom that is. Where do they get those nasty words sooo young!?!?
Gosh that's rough! I'm proud of you though. That's a good way to look at it. I find it hard to know the line sometimes - parenting is definately not for wimps!
I hear that I'm a mean mom from my 3 year old every day! To me, it means I'm doing my job. I was just a bit upset today, when he told me he wanted to live in Gina's house, not mine.
